Looking for some photos (which I did not find) I came across these scans. They were in files of scanned family documents, so they may be relatives, but I don't recognize them. (There was a big box of stuff from a deceased relative and I scanned it all.) The originals are currently with my sibs .

Hey! Strike a pose! (What is that building behind?)
    zzzzzzzc.jpg

And a parade picture. Don't know where. Don't know when. (There is another parade picture dated 1927, but it might not be the same parade.)

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

They're all really handsome people. That little kid on the top pic, the one on the right, has a mesmerizing face. And "Teddy Roosevelt" there has it goin' ON! No idea about the building... primitive, indigenous people style. Could be so many places. Do you guess a country?

I'm in Canada. I would guess the northern part of North America. Couldn't be any more specific.

That first photo is the handsomest Mountain Williams I ever seen

The stone dugout type building was on one of those recent reality shows about dudes living in the sticks in Appalachia. He was going in to beef it up for use. It was in bad repair. They made it all scary that it was about to cave in and kill him. I forget what they called its original use.

Could that building be an oven for making charcoal?

That parade may be in Bellingham, WA.

I think the parade is in Bellingham, WA. There is a series of 4 white road signs (not a street sign, direction to other cities) on a post in the lower right. The top sign says Settle. The 2nd one starts with an "E," the 3rd might start with Mt or Mount, and no idea about the 4th sign. Of course there is that big round sign being carried saying, "Bellingham (a cross) Headquarters." The sign on the large building says "The Weiser HRM/BRM/RBM? Company." I haven't had any luck in IDing that company. I did find a Samuel K. Weiser was living in Bellingham in the mid 1920s.

BTW, when you google 1920s Bellingham, WA for pictures there are many many of KKK street parades. I think there is still an active chapter in that city.

Bellingham is about an hour north of me and I'd be shocked to learn there were any KKK there now.
If something reads 'Mt.' then it's likely followed by Baker.

EDIT: I just now saw Ladybranch's reply re the same business establishment which I mention below. ;)

, in the fourth (last) photo of the parade there is a sign which reads "The Weiser ???? Co." Perhaps a search for that old store (or whatever?) in Bellingham would shed some light of some sort. When I did a google for "Weiser" and "Bellingham" one company (a furniture store) name came up but it was spelled "Wiser" (although at some point (WWII?) it's possible a "Weiser" store could have changed its name to "Wiser" (or it may be an internet source boo-boo).

The building could be some kind of smoke house. I really don't know.

The arrows in the parade photo point to Seattle, Everett, and Mt. Vernon.

I think the boy's marching band was connected to the Shiner's. Looks like an adult Shiner, in costume, at the back.

An aunt of mine lived in Vancouver in the 1920s. Maybe she took the picture. I don't know the distances.
