    Unmarked, porcelain about 11" tall. Good score for $3.00 IMHO

    Anyone know who made it?

    I would guess late 1800s Austrian/German.

    Investigate bisque doll makers to see who might be a possibility.
    @Christmasjoy
    Can't remember who the other doll collector on the board is.

    Hi, This bust although lovely has nothing to do with dolls, she is what she is .. a nice ceramic rendition of a lady ... unsigned. By the way Judy is another VERY knowledgable doll person on here as well as a few others .. like Debora. Thank You for tagging me , sorry I could not help ... Joy. :)

    I think they may all be based on bronze busts by George Van der Straeten.

    Or vise-versa maybe? The porcelain models seem more frivolous and feminine to my eye.

    Maybe, I haven’t checked the approximate dates of either.

    Guess I was thinking more of half dolls than actual dolls. Sorry.
    I think that INH is closer with Tepliz.

    Like her but I'm having trouble with the lack of wear underneath and the perfect small round hole. Seems fresh to me.:bag::bag::bag:

    Kestner dolls are very beautiful and well made .. I had no idea they branched out into busts such as these. Not something I would be interested in at all ... Joy. :)
