Framed Bronze Kirin Figurine

    In my opinion the quality is not on a level to be an older piece but I wonder if the figurine came framed or it was framed by the previous owner?

    I can't answer any of your questions, but just wanted to say I've never seen anything like this, so I'm glad you posted it!

    Ditto.
    And it doesn't really fit the window-frame (are these called "shadow boxes"?)...
    Must have been a marriage somehow... frame and object.

    Wonder if it can be opened or the two parts are glued? Maybe there could be a screw or so under the felt so the bottom can be removed?

    Quite frankly, I really like the motion and spirit in the figure! I don't like its containment. Set it free!

    Careful with that frame , I think it might be worth more than the horse .

    The Ebay is surely the same design with slight differences and a the castig is a bit cruder.
    So, I guess it was framed by the owner.

    Maybe they are both copy of an exiting origin?
