    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Does anybody do repairs on these enamels? SHOULD it be done? I would love to try my hand at mixing up and applying some enamel to match the background, letting it dry, then completing the little design in grey-black with a tiny brush.

Harder than it looks. "Enamels" are fired onto the metal in a kiln.

Enamels can be repaired. Losses can be replaced with acrylics.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

To what extent is stuff like that "legit"? I would love to try some of that. Of course, it would be divulged up front, but... do people even WANT that? I have used Bondo, paint, and nail polish to repair sentimental-value family stuff, and results have been pretty coolio...

The enamel chip can be completely repaired. It's just ground colored glass and melts fairly low compared to the gold. It is unusual for enamel to be on plate.

What you are seeing in/on the rugs etc. are the "sheaths" of the claws as in "cats have sheath(ed) claws."

    http://www.vetstreet.com/our-pet-experts/why-does-my-cat-shed-his-claws

At my house my longest living cat (age 19 years) deposited most of her "sheaths" in my favorite chair in the den. Even the sheaths she had shed were still fairly sharp if I happened not to see one and sat on it the wrong way. ;)

On Saturday I found a pair of 502 big E Levis, size of 72 X 38, never worn or washed (original labels intact). :)

Odds are those were a display pair, or something similar. The lot number is a little weird. @yourturn - I know about the claws; I've only had cats since I was in utero.(LOL) It was just simpler and funnier than talking about claw sheaths. They shed whiskers too; those don't hurt as much when you step on one barefoot. I've always wanted to save a few and try doing detail painting with them. ...and I can hear Gila's wheels turning from here....

But of course, hence the smiley face after "never worn or washed". The lot number is correct for these oversized 502's.

Got this lamp the other day at the GW and it was terribly dusty. I just brushed it off though it needs more cleaning and touching up.
No label and pretty much is likely hand made.

I'm not thinking I want to keep this one so I may put it on eBidet and call it a TIKI LAMP?
    What do you think?

TIKI's are, as best I can describe, a Polynesian type 'God' figure.
You've seen them with big mouths and mean looking.
Many bars and restaurants. I've a few I've been going to put up on eBidet.
Many people like this look for home bars and lounges.
The surf community like this a lot.
Trader Vic's was/is famous for all this.
