What kind of fabric is this?

I usually see that kind of floral pattern as "chintz" although I don't know if that is really accurate.

Can you explain what is going on in the last picture? Drapes?

Okay. Well, I guess the question is, what more are you looking for? Fabric content? That would be a tough one.

I take it there's a lining on the back?

I would put money on cotton - at least for the front. But I've never been a good gambler and with so many mixed content fabrics floating around, it can be hard to tell. Until you wash them!

 

Is the bottom hem closed?? If not, can you get up under and see the border/edge of the fabric along a side seam?? That is quite often left on when making drapes/curtains.....

 

I remember that pattern, although I have no idea from where... As I recall, the fabric is polished cotton; it is very like chintz, but the material is thicker and less shiny.

Chintz is rather hard to find nowadays, as polished cotton is more durable.

 

My thoughts are a poly cotton blend due to the absence of wrinkles.
