Enamel bars Green/White/Red found with WW1 Italian Medals - Official?

These bars came in with a couple of WW1 Medals, but I've never seen anything like them before. These are enamel on metal, and I wonder if they were officially used. Three distinct pieces, joined together on the back. All three have white and red sections, with two also including light green segments. Any info appreciated. Thank you! ... Dave

 

Those are unusual..at least to me....
Those would be termed 'Campaign Ribbons' here.
They normally come with an attendant medal.
Added to them, here, would be 'Devices' such as a V or E or a star or stars.

I gave you all those to see if they are listed there of course. I did see similar but perhaps they will talk with you about them.

They seem to be very unusual to me. Probably hand made and maybe by the soldier himself because he couldn't get his.

 

Thanks KoT - a colleague here also thought they were unusual which is why I posted it here. The two medals are the Medal of Allied Victory, and the War Medal 1915-1918 (WW1 participation medal), nothing rare. It was just these enameled bars that caught our attention.

 

When you find out more I'd like to know please.

They're called "onorificenze" which translates to "decoration" and they seem to represent awards as well as campaigns.

Here's a World War I example from eBay Italy which has an English translation, in addition to the original Italian.

They were at least on the Allies side in WWI! They finally routed the Austrians:

"In October 1918 the Italians attacked again. The Austrian army broke, and the Italians drove deep into Austrian territory, leading to the collapse of Austria-Hungary. Fighting ended on 3 November 1918. Italy and the Allies had been victorious. Italian armed forces were also involved in the Western Front and in the Middle Eastern theatre of World War I."

A country that can produced the likes of Michelangelo, da Vinci, Stradivari, Fermi, Galileo, Verdi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Marconi, Pavarotti, Marco Polo, Montessori, Andretti, St. Francis, Marcello Mastroianni, etc... can't be that bad!! Don't think a man alive or for that matter dead would leave Sophia Loren off that list that goes on and on.

I haven't been able to find what these Italian WWI bars represented. Then again the British Mercantile Marine during WWI had green, red and white ribbons.
