    i found this:
    http://www.kahnfineantiques.com/index.cfm?ImgId=536

which is similar to mine yes? however that says probably possibly English circa 1680? i can get a pic of the inside of the bell if its helpful. i'm sure the bell is genuinley old, but the mortar a reproduction maybe? i have given both items a rough/unprofessional clean with water before those pics also

both items sold in same lot at an auction (Durrant's auctions) in England, there was no items info, they were just listed as "Antiques"

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Hola, Andy! You'll probably get the best response if you post pictures, full size, here. Some members are either too busy or just plain hesitant to go to unknown sites. Your items look very interesting! Good luck!

those are just the "font" i believe. the two things flanking the middle... same notches in the head, tail curling same way, weird dolphin like thing on top in both... etc

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

The shape and marks are similar, but the only striking similarity for me is the top thingie (what do you call that... a loop?) that is square with a round hole.

Yes. Dolphins on bells are the classic thing...

Sides on your bell seem to be straight and the other bell - convex

...but there are people here that know much more of this. I just call it as I see it

Sorry but both of your items are inexpensive, modern souvenir/tourist pieces. I think the smoother one pictured above for comparison is about the same, just a little more carefully cast, but still worth very little. I've had a lot of authentic antique bells and yours aren't in that category.
