I saw this desk on Craigslist. It was already sent to consignment and consequently sold when I reached out to the original seller. The seller doesn't know the manufacturer of the desk. I'm trying to find out any info I can on it so I can try and find another one.

    Thank you...

I'd say turn of the century 1870-1910 and the style is renaissance revival.

.. Second thought! Maybe it's a later reproduction / form of the style in question. It is a bit messy compared to the examples I'm familiar with but again neo-renaissance furniture isn't always simplistic at all.

I've seen a few slightly similar ones online. Unfortunately I don't know anything more.

I've seen that kind of decoration called Renaissance Revival, if that's any help. It's decidedly not my style, but there was a lot of it made. A lot of the inlay was made in Italy and shipped elsewhere. Lots of manufacturers made something similar, so another one will turn up eventually.

1870s or so transitional piece from the late Renaissance Revival into the Aesthetic Movement. The form is moving toward the latter but still a bit heavy while the style of the inlay is more classical. Probably European but if American, this could be an important piece. Similar work was being done by high style cabinet makers on the East coast such as Herter Bros.
