Parakeet planter, Bluebird bud vase. Whose?

Two more items I thought would be easy to ID. I thought they might both be Royal Copley.
The planter is about 7" long, 5 1/2" to top of parakeet, 3 1/4" cross the top:





This bud vase is about 6 1/4" tall, with a base about 5" by 2 1/2":

 

Found this... I think it looks like a goldfinch, but... you and this seller vote for parakeet! No word on maker...

I think USA pottery.
Their name was usually cast into the piece so it's odd that it isn't if thiers. Maybe these were labeled.

 

The planter is in my American Bisque book by Giacomini. They call it Bird on the Blossom.

 

There is no USA pottery company.
USA is the country of origin. Many potteries put USA on the bottom of their products.

And one of the most beautiful American finches! Is a close relative of the Venezuelan Black-hooded Red Siskin... the much coveted (poached almost to extinction) finch that is crossed with canaries for the valuable Red Factor Canary...

Thanks for the ID on the planter!

I have no problem calling the bird a Goldfinch, but I'll also call it a Parakeet and a Budgie and probably add Canary as well. I'd call it an elephant if I thought it would help sell it.
