I've heard of people that some people's hobby is purchasing thrift store art and then improving it. Sounds cool …….. unfortunately I don't have any art skills to do it myself, otherwise I would.

 

Similar here. I would completely get into the hobby and craft if I had the talent too.

Is the paint still wet? The Mandalorian TV series has just been out for 5 weeks or was there a reference to baby Yoda in an earlier book?

LOL, I meant the painter of the StarWars part! Some are famous!

What is the story on this piece -- How did you acquire it? If you don't mind me asking.

Like many here I am sure, in addition to thrift stores and yard sales, I was cruising eBay for illegible signatures, unsigned artwork, artwork needing restoration and repair, not the Star Wars section/category, and this beauty was in the Paintings section. The seller had some random things for sale in addition to this, believe they were the artist, but they did not have any other artwork listed other than this. I really liked it.

My first thought was that the images had been superimposed onto the picture and not painted directly onto it .. I still think this ... Joy.
