Dessert spoons - old? Russian?

Found these in a shop today and even though I wasn't familiar with the style of marking, the spoons looked old and made from solid metal, rather than being plated.

The marks, as you can see, are "72" and "OH " in small impressed squares. The spoons are also monogrammed with "TT", although those initials have been polished down quite a bit.

AFAIK, 72 (.750) was a late 18thc Russian silver standard and judging by the style of the bowl I'd guess that the spoons could be that old. I imagine OH or HO is the maker's mark.

    Any ideas or confirmation/denials welcomed!

    Thanks!

Any way to see a clearer photo of the marks? I'm probably looking at it wrong, but the 2 looks more like an omega symbol to me. Obviously trust you but it would help if we could see another angle of the marks.

12 loth (.750) silver, most likely German and around mid 19th century...

Sorry, best shot I could get ATM ...I assure you it is a #2 though, not an omega.

Thanks Cheryl, makes more sense than Russian 18thc.:shy:

@DragonflyWink Although .... not a 12, that still looks like the number 72 in that rectangle ...so ...am I seeing things or is that a 12???

I see that too but I guess it must be a "1" not a "7" though, right?

It's just a long upper stroke on the '1', not at all uncommon - here are a couple of similar examples (can hunt up numerous others):

The style of the spoons looks German, and agree, 12 Lot. It is just a traditional European way of writing 1, with that long stroke.

Our house numbers used to look like that. This is a 7 in the same style:
