Hungry 'uns! We has an ice cream! I got cheap coffee at one sale and free coffee and donuts at the next one. I was good and only ate one. My find of the day was a lady's Seiko in need of a new band (it has a ugly replacement on it). It's a 17 jewel automatic self-winder with day date whatsit .... in Spanish. I think. Sunday is Dom. When Monday comes around on the dial I'll know. It could be Portuguese, but I've found Spanish before.

Don't know if I should have bought this or not, because it looks quite new and it's clearly marked China. But it's crystalline glaze, and the crystal rosettes are large, well-defined, and plentiful (vase about 9" tall):

It's very pretty, MOS! I would have bought it too (at the right price, of course!)

Love the crystalline glazes and would have bought it if the price was right as well. There are some American studio potters doing similar work these days. Picked up this piece of Flambeaux Pottery from the thrift not too long ago. Pic is from the shop so is not the best. I think the studio does nicer work than this piece and probably would have kept a nicer example. Of course this had not sold last I checked so may be keeping this yet. It had the original card from the pottery inside that someone has since stolen. :sour:

I went to an estate sale last week. It was pouring down rain and the very small house was so crowded it was hard to see anything. I did, however, find these three dog pictures. I collect dogs so even though these are not treasures to anyone else I am happy to own them. The first is by illustrator Hy Hintermeister and is from 1934 and is titled, "The Great Adventure." The second and third are not titled, just something I liked.

Cute. I'm primarily a cat person, but will go for anything in a fur coat. I went to the local Ill Will today. Bought ...a bra. This one gets a lot of Target leftovers and things from places like Homegoods. No old stuff unless something slips in by mistake.

I love your dog pictures Jen and George!
I went to a house sale today and brought home way too much stuff.
This New York Yankees glass piece - I'm a fan, a black pottery cat - maybe South America, a Whale made out of some kind of stone, this very cool piece that I'm not sure if it is for smokes or maybe jam, there is a drawer in the front.
