Featured Victorian Aesthetic Bracelet

    It's very pretty and very much of it's period, but I don't think you are looking at precious metals. To me, those rings look like copper and both of them show soldered closing seams (about 7 o'clock on the bird, 1 o'clock on the butterfly). I think a pricey piece of jewelry would not show marks like that.

    I looked at that and it rather looks to be a small repair? Not sure..

    thanks MOS:) I took it in to the pawn shop today and it tested for sterling. I don't think they are repairs, rather the seam where they join? The other one (butterfly) is in the 1 o'clock position

    I am surprised, but congrats! Did those rings test for gold?

    Yes, it looks to me like the rings were made from bar stock and soldered in place, so there will be a point where the ends of the bar meet.

    thanks MOS:) the rings aren't solid gold, just a thin layer on top, maybe plated or liquid painted in place? I'm not sure how it would have been applied:)

    Looks like rings stamped from a thin sheet of rose gold, and sweated on to the silver.
