I have been trying to ID this mark for years. The style of the vase looks like Paul Dachsel but as far as I can tell, he only used his initials as an impressed mark. Ernest Chaplet, used a circle of dots and at the bottom had a similar female symbol. However, I have never found the female symbol without the dotted circle or, a piece by him that looks similar to this. The X mark hasn't turned up either. Any ideas? Thank you.

Thank you! It looks identical other than color and, of course, the mark. I've been looking around and haven't found any Dressler pieces with my mark. This is strange.

Can anyone see the price on Worthpoint?

I can't help, sorry, but I'm curious about the Boston company mark. Is it stamped on top of the glaze, or under? Decorator? Retailer? I've never seen that before.

I believe they were a retailer. Over the past few years when I have Googled the name, several auctions and listings have come up with this name and it's always been for silver items.

I just found a copy of an newspaper advertisement for Maynard & Potter from November 1906. It was a jewelry and gift shop. Based on their location in the Back Bay, they catered to wealthier clientele.

Maybe Dressler used this mark for exports or for items that were to be marked by a retailer.
