I bought this painting at the Flea Market for $20. I bought it because I really liked it. It is by a Brazilian Artist named Gondim. It has a gallery sticker on back from a gallery in Brazil. It has an archive number too. I have tried finding more info on the artist/Gallery online, but have had little luck. It appears to me that the Gallery is part of a Hotel/Resort in Brazil.
Anyway.....I just like the painting and would like to hear what you folks think. DSCN2530.JPG DSCN2531.JPG DSCN2534.JPG

It doesn't say any more then Gondim on the painting or Certificate....so I don't know. But how many can there be? LOL

Yeah I liked the colors too! I also like the primitive style.

The more I investigate, the more I think this IS by Celia Gondim. Any other artist named Gondim does different style altogether. Alexander Gondim lives in London and paints abstracts. Some of the (few) Celia Gondim paintings I have found online match in solors, subject and style. I can find a lot about the Orixas Art Hotel, but no particulars on the gallery

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Well, my laptop is sick, which means I'm on my phone, which means I'll be uncharacteristically brief!
LOVE this. (Love Logan's, too.) I love the colors, the people, the liveliness of the scene. Just the right amount of detail (not too much) which keeps it from being too busy. 20 bucks!??!!!?!? Man!
And although I am still against frames in general, I don't mind this one much at all.
Good buy, good eye, say I !

I really like that painting too Komokwa. I guess it's just the brilliant colors that attract my attention. My painting is a lot more vivid in person then in the pictures.

It's a similar use of color to bring an otherwise somber scene into a whole new vibrant life..
