DSC06871-2.JPG I figure it like this ,one of three things are going to happen, 1it's going to be verified as a picasso, and then will be big news and free publicity for the new museum (remi ) in saskatoon ,2 it is going to be exposed as a really good fake and will bring free publicity to your new museum ,or three i'm going to the saskatoon star phoenix and ask(convince) them to ask you why you are not investigating this chair , how does my plan sound ? i just have to prove these are his prints and that is all . i will share the new pics when i get them , later today i hope

    love your book KOT!
Your wall plaque - is it a composite material made to look like carved wood? Maybe a souvenir piece from a trip to Italy?

Well everyone probably knows what I am going to list as my "finds" this past Saturday (total spent $2.50 :D ).

PB -- How Girls Can Help This Country (The 1913 Handbook for Girl Scouts by W. J. Hoxie) from Headquarters of Girl Scouts, Munsey Bldg., Washington D.C., (originally published in 1913 by Juliette Low, but this is the Applewood Books, Bedford, Massachusett's edition) 147 numbered pp with photographs). It's a fascinating book which offers a look back to the early 1900s.

PB -- Memories of Anne Frank (Reflections of a Childhood Friend), by Alison Leslie Gold, Scholastic, Inc. 1997, 135 numbered pp. with photographs.

PB -- A Long Way Gone (Memoirs of a Boy Soldier), by Ishmael Beah, Sarah
Crichton Books, New York, 2007, 229 numbered pp.

HB -- Tomorrow (Adventures in an Uncertain World), by Bradley Trevor Greive, Andrews McMeel Publishing (Kansas City) 2003, 110 numbered pages (each page with a photograph and caption).

And then there are my two real prizes  --

2 HB Volumes (VIII and XIII), Illustrated History of All Nations by Israel Smith Clare (1909). Vol. VIII pp. 2519 - 2805, Vol. XIII pp. 3971- 4340.

KingofThings, that is so kind of you to think of a teenager who probably would enjoy reading it. At this point it is going in my "reading" stack.

Perhaps you could ask if she has already read it? I guess you noticed that it is from "Scholastic Inc." so it is possible she may have already read it through either her school or a public library. Of course that doesn't mean she wouldn't want her own copy to keep. ;)
