    Hello folks,

Added this paperweight (and a few other things) to my hoard today. It is of the Pabst Building in Milwaukee. Saw it at an antique mall and thought that the price wasn't too bad ...... so I scooped it up.

Any idea of the age of this paperweight?

    Happy collecting,

Looks like it is based on this same image used on this postcard. Note the position of the trolley and people. Wouldn't have thought it quite that old but who knows. Lots of versions of this image out there on postcards so you may want to look at some others to see if you can find one with the same word banner as yours.

Also got this Woodrow Wilson pin at the same antique mall. Dealers usually price these really high at antique malls, I was kind of surprised to find that this one was priced fairly. Apologies for the less than optimal picture.

Cool find. Old WWI-era buttons are getting thinner on the ground.

This is neat. Delft from between 1760 to no later than 1840.

It reminds me of a blue onion pattern with peppers.

I checked my one Delft book for the mark, and didn't find it. I did find a different example of the pattern under the heading "Peasant Delft". The pattern is called "Peacock's Tail" or "Fan". The example shown in the book is second half 18thC. What they say about the pattern is "this strange structure that combines several indecipherable motifs."

Your example is much simpler than the one in the book.

I like this very much, very much so the right price, and I think it's in pretty good shape for 88 years old.
Can you guess which illustrations I saw first and, though I would've bought it anyway, clinched it?
