Orange and Black Clay 2 Piece Apple Looking Pot

    This stands 6 1/4" tall. Unmarked. The top is the apple stem with leaves. Could this be Catawba Valley area pottery?

    I'll guess Mexican, maybe Tarahumara? Although I've never seen a similar figural one. Yoo hoo, pottery brainiacs!

    I just Googled Catawba... it certainly has that look!

    Persimmon?
    The pom has those spiky things that stick up. The persimmon has a close leaf around the top, but maybe the stem is different.
