Can anyone help me identify the age and or maker of this desk? The only marking I found on it is "05 7336 30" and an inspection stamp marked "092887" the drawers are out of the desk due to a basement renovation so pardon the messy pictures. The drawers in this desk all have dovetails. It's solidly build and really heavy. I can only guess it's from 1950 or 1930 (doubtful) based on the serial number. Bought it for 50 bucks in a warehouse in Boston. Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

To me this is newer. Last 10-20 years.
Metal slides for the drawers, new drawer hardware.

If you bought it for resale, I don't think you will make much on it. For your own use, a good buy.

I should have mentioned that it was 13 years ago when I bought this for 50 bucks. That time it wasn't relatively now. Perhaps 20 years is about right. A little disappointing that it's not older but yeah this solid tank of a desk will outlast most desks. I was just sure based on the faded stamping and its font for the serial # it would be from at least the 70s.

Furniture from the 70s or later is considered pretty new to most of us here. I actually think your inspection stamp number translates to the date 09/28/1987.
