Nice find, I'm guessing you didnt have to pay a DeVilbiss price for it either

I got it for an incredibly low price since the seller had no idea it was a DeVilbiss bottle & the auction ended at 3:50 in the afternoon.

I knew immediately by the shape of the hardware & then found it in my reference book on DeVilbiss perfume bottles.

Just got these two books.
Mysterious Island I just had to have though it is hammered...which is why I like it. It was read A LOT which I much appreciate.
The GW had the nerve to want 9.99 so I had left it.
Yesterday....50% off.
It is very light and I wonder if it's made from left over WWII paper. Cannot tell what edition it is but it went into library service just east of Seattle 18 days ago...in 1955.

Child's Book Of Recitations is in fairly good shape. Look at the inscription and what I found pressed within.

Oh my goodness, I really like the Jules Verne book . . . but I dearly love the Child's Book of Recitations.

Thankfully it's stamped Discard; otherwise you might have bought one heckuva overdue book fine! It looks older than 1955; it may have been donated as a used book.

 

I have tried to return books before..............they look at me like I'm nuts.
I stopped.

 

Depends on the value of the book, I'd think. Return a rare first edition and you might get another reaction. Used kiddie books...not so much. Old reference books ... probably landfill.

 

Brad, I love the colors and depth of field in your first and larger painting!!!! Also love how the top portion is "framed" by the leaves!!!!!!

My Mom had a pile of Etude magazines from decades ago. I used to play the music in them and my mom and I even played some duets. Unfortunately, although we kept them for a long time, the paper was brittle and they weren't in good condition. Think I may have donated them to the thrift, or put them in a garage sale. Can't remember which, but I do remember the music my Mom and I played with pleasure!

 

Kentworld, I am so glad you shared with us the memory of the music which you and your mother played with pleasure.
