"Onion" plates

    More plates from the family farm.

    Four of the "Onion" pattern plates are Staffordshire, the one with the scalloped edges is Johnson Bros. (?)

    Never seen one marked ONION. Original pattern name is Blue Danube. Made by many makers. Still popular today.

    The design registration number puts it in 1911, first use. Who called it Blue Danube, Mike?

    I was thinking "Blue Onion" when I first opened this thread. Sure enough some of the extra listings ebay wanted us to see above are titled Blue Onion. :rolleyes:
