I could never find any information on these spoons. I've had them for several years. I decided to check the 925 site again and they now have Jasper Stone listed (1818 - 1892) . The mark on the site has stars on either side of the name. My spoons do not have stars. I guess I'm looking for a second opinion that these are from the same Japser Stone.

I looked him up on the Family Search site and there is a Jasper Stone in Charlestown. The 925 website has the city spelled as Charleston.

The mark is the fourth one down on the left.

Is this monogram R or K?

Value. I looked at completed auctions on ebay and prices on coin silver spoons are all over the place. Other than maker, what makes some more valuable than others? Shape? Size? Age?

    Thank you!

    Agree with Terry.

    I think that's a K.

Thank you both. I just found an advertisement and a registration for Jasper Stone Jewelers in Charlestown.

Thanks Bakersgma, I always have a difficult time with these monograms.

I think it is an "R" (not a "K") because of the "rounded top" on the letter -- it is going in the opposite direction from a slanted upward top part curve in a "K" which would not curve back toward the center downward stroke, if that makes sense to any others. ;)

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I think it's a K..........from a Calligraphy book......."Blackletter" ......highly subject to individual interpretive changes........took me a few to find my book!!!!!
