And yes I have already searched and viewed all images of chesterfield rockers. Very similar in design yet not as ornate and none matching.. thank you, that was my initial thought of what it could be.

Jeremiah,I understand about your issues but most of the folks answering you are older and have looked at,handled, owned and bought and sold more furniture than you can even fathom. If they tell you its Indonesian and not old,its Indonesian and not old . Experience very often outshines google search . :)

I've no idea. Only thing I've seen is that the area circled. I dont know if it's a crack/split or where 2 pieces of wood come together. Its identical on other side. And the only 2 links that I and another have posted that looks similar to this chair. Where the crack/split/ 2 pieces of wood are at is where there is a 3rd leg. Like a brace in that area. received_2800674506618245.jpeg TB1LWx0GXXXXXcsXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic.jpg received_2800674506618245.jpeg TB1LWx0GXXXXXcsXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic.jpg received_2800674506618245.jpeg TB1LWx0GXXXXXcsXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic.jpg received_2800674506618245.jpeg TB1LWx0GXXXXXcsXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic.jpg received_2800674506618245.jpeg TB1LWx0GXXXXXcsXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic.jpg received_2800674506618245.jpeg TB1LWx0GXXXXXcsXpXXXXXXXXXX_!!0-item_pic.jpg

Don't know if this helps or not. Furniture isn't really my area but the way the finish chips including the color remind me of the spray on varnish (I think that's what it is) on Bombay Co furniture and others. I also wonder if it's leather or some sort of vinyl or naugahyde the way it's split makes me think it might be faux leather.

    Anyway, found this.
