    I don't expect....I react !

What you do , is up to you and how you feel.

But you can be as helpful as anyone here......and as funny as anyone here , and either of those in lesser quantities.....will make the site a little less great !!

I can fence with the best of them so keep your sword sharp and always at the ready. ;)
The lunges may be fewer but more powerful and deeper. ;)

    Sharing my meager recent finds.

I think I'm starting to run a home for misfit engraved glasses ....
Found the 4" one on the left today and the 5" one in the center last week ... now the one (on the right) that I found a couple of years ago isn't so lonely. I like that they're so delicate and pretty.

Also found a mystery unmarked metal item that has what was probably a nicely detailed engraving of a bird on a branch at one time ... now quite worn. I'll probably start a thread about it in the silver section. Not counting handle - about 6¼" in diameter, 1" high.

It is probably not but . . . to me it looks like a "silent butler" which is missing its lid.

Thanks, yourturn! Funny you should say that ... when I picked it up, the first thing I thought of was that maybe it would go with my English silverplate and ivory crumber.

It doesn't really go - styles are too different - and the birds are a much less ... alive looking.

But who knows? It's possible (although I don't see where a lid would have been)
