I can't for the life of me think which country the A*M A800 mark is. Ought to know, can someone rescue my brain. Netherlands?

And t'other one. It's unfamiliar. Says made in (something). Himself thinks it says India, I'm dubious.

    Ta!

The sword on the first one may be Netherlands, but the other marks not so much.

It's minute! I think there's an 8, I'll go see if there's anything there. Thanks much!

I'm wondering about the A800. "A" looks Gothic to me and that might mean Belgium (1868-1942 when there were unofficial marks for which A2 stood for .800 fineness.)

Mid 20th century Dutch-made souvenirs, the spoon is silver (either .833 or .835 fineness), the maker (AxM) was Alex Meijer of Schoonhoven; the fork is plated and the circular mark reads 'MADE IN HOLLAND'.

Heh, just one I'm way too familiar with - shows up on a lot of American souvenir spoons too, as well as other countries...

The Alexander Meijer AxM mark was used from 1928-1963.
The sword mark looks like the post-1953 sword. If so, the fineness, either 835 or 925, should be on the blade, very tiny. You will never find 800 on the blade.;)

Pretty sure I've seen that cute bunny on other Belgian souvenir spoons, and am also pretty sure they were plated, but not totally clear on it (damned failing memory!)...
