Featured Couple of miniature portraits, By Silin.

I hope someone might know this artist.
I think they are prints but hand signed.
one is 4" x 5" and the other is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Whoever had them framed glued them to the mat so ill have to re-frame them to sell

OMG, Those are beautiful. I love them. It’s my kind of art. My opinion means nothing, but I love them anyhow. I bought this recently. So new the paint hasn’t dried. Bought it from the artist, Frank Ordaz. Lovely man.

 

Think that may be S. Lin rather than Silin.

Have you seen Frank Ordaz up in Auburn, 916? His studio is in downtown near Victory Velo Bike’s.

 

No I haven't. I know the area well though. I have to stop by sometime.

 

The guy in the photo is named, John Downs, aka “The Time Traveler”. He is a local man that hangs out downtown and is loved by all. He wears his western gear always. You can generally find him sitting outside the barber shop downtown. Frank paints John often. He loves the character in John’s face and he always sells his paintings of John.

Frank Ordaz has a sweet little studio and quite a following. He shows in Lake Tahoe and many galleries on the West Coast. Look at his website. He paints beautifully. I was bent on getting one of his paintings and finally got one last year. I will get another. Preferably Indian like this one. I would have given my right arm for this one.

I love Auburn, especially downtown. There is a antiques fair in old town once a year. You can always find something there that you don't really need but have to have lol
