    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Ummm... so many GiveAways in the last day or two or so!
Which makes me wonder if mine got lost in the shuffle... or if truly NOBODY wants 75 used wine works? I thought folks used those in all kinds of crafts and such? I bought them on eBay cuz I spotted a few bird-corks in the lot, to feed my sad obsession, and I DON'T NEED THE REST! If interested... have a look in the GiveAway Forum. I swear, if nobody wants 'em, I'm gonna save 'em and include 'em in the next Gift Exchange! No, that would be mean. BUT FUNNY! Hmmmmmmmmm...

Gila, if no one takes them, that sounds like the perfect Etsy listing. :)

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Hmmmmm... you're worried I'll draw your name on the next gift exchange!
I'll give 'em to one of my sisters in law. I only paid a buck for 'em. Postage was five bucks! And best of all, I have bird corks on the way!

Nope, I'm suggesting that you could probably get $$ for them on Etsy. :)

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Reeeeeeeeeeeealllllyyyyy? Oh, you mean, because the craftier folks go there...
That's a good idea. I hardly think of ETSY any more since I quit selling there.
    Well, THANK YOU, hermana!

Another Welz vase on its way to me. I found this one unattributed on Ebay.

Terry, if that is some type of craft paint, it might come off just soaking it overnight with water. If the tray is deep enough, you can just fill it with water without having to soak the entire piece.

I found something today that I've been looking for for weeks! The camera lens housing for the backup camera on my car! :hilarious:

I knew it needed cleaning because of the way the display looked, checked the manual and all it showed was an arrow pointing at the rear of the car on the passenger side of center. I can't tell you how many times I've looked at the back of the car, under the bumper, in the various recesses that separate the bumper and the body. Nothing.

So today, since it is finally dry here , I literally got down on my knees in the street. Still couldn't see anything that looked like it. And then I started to get up..... I finally had a view of the underside of the trunk latch, above the license plate. There it was staring right at me!! :D

Now if I could just find something worthy of showing off here.... ;)

    Bakersgma,

Thank you. I really need to ease up on buying glass but I pretty much stole this piece. That justifies it right?

It is a mix of whatever junk paint they got at auction.

    Methyl alcohol didn't do anything
Acetone loosened the red and yellow a little
    Chloromethane did nothing
The torch made a mess of what was left

Sanding is taking more copper than paint

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Maybe heat it just a bit, see if the metal expansion pops some paint off???? Or gives you some spots to lift and work on????

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Thanks in advance for indulging me here... it's not art, not antique, but for ME, it's a FIND!!!

I bought a lot of a hundred corks on eBay because I spied some BIRD CORKS (which I collect). They got here today!
    The keepers...
    Two "Lucky Ducks"
    Two "Winking Owls"
One Rex Goliath (a giant rooster)

And below... the remainder of corks, coveted by crafters and environmentalists everywhere, but which NOBODY wanted in my generous and enthusiastic GiveAway offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
