She's about 12.5 inches tall - don't know how authentic she is. I need help with wth to search for?

    Appears to read "Mte Ria"

    Any suggestions?

Montería is in Colombia. A "he," not a "she" and looks like a nativity scene figure.

Except for the goatee, she kinda looks like Freida Kahlo.
    Do the arms move?
I wonder if this has to do with a festival of some kind.
It's very weird, but I would have bought it too.

I thought it was a "he" too... surprised it isn't.

I think the goatee is a pointy chin plus age staining. Odds are that's a Virgin from a creche set.

I thought it might be one of the women at the feet of cross after the crucifixion . A LOT of this kind of thing came out of south America in the 80s and 90s ,ethnic was highly trendy then . Still is . That being said , I think shes a little older ,maybe 1920s - 30s . I love it and Id have bought it too .

I don't understand why she's not more modestly dressed? Would she have had a cloth dress original?

Might have. If she's as old as she looks and it was silk or wool it might have rotted/shattered/been eaten by bugs. If she's later that's what they want you to think.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Look at the 'flatness' on the inside of her left hand.....either part of it is missing or there used to be something there........
