cchgs Introduction

I am the museum director for a small historic genealogical society. Currently we are doing a complete photographic inventory of what we have, especially after a move Many of the items we have came in before records were kept so nothing is know of what some of them are. I am 47 and looking for some help in those cases that help is needed and offering the same help where I can.

Where is your historical society located? (All I could think of with the "CC" was Chevy Chase, MD...)

I worked for a local historical society for a time, taught research skills at the high school level for many years, and have also done a ton of genealogy research - for my own family & for others - so your project sounds like something I'd love!

Hi again, cchgs!

I took a look at your website - what a cool area! I've never spent much time in PA, but I do have to say I loved all the barns in those photos!

I was also very impressed to see the word "comprises" used correctly on the site. (Okay, so some of us here are rather tetchy, old-school grammarians. I'm almost always impressed by proper word usage!)

In any case, I'm looking forward to your future postings. I can't wait to see what's going on in Columbia County.

I look forward to seeing what you post, and reading everyone's thoughts. I joined this site recently, and now I look forward to reading this column with my morning coffee (weekends only, but hoping to retire this year!).

 

I'm the VP of a small historical society here on Cape Cod. We'll have to exchange war stories about lack of documentation and mystery items!
