    Hello all,

I was hoping that somebody may be able to identify the facts regarding our recently acquired dining table.

We have family that originated in Romania, a wealthy family, we have recently brought back this dining set to the UK.

All we know is that it is thought to of been bought by the family in the 1930's, and it had remained in the family home until we shipped it.

The table has a glass top to it, not sure how long ago it was added.

It is extendable but the center part is missing.

10 chairs in total made the set.
Forgive the reflections in the photos!

    Any ideas would be grateful!

    Thanks you.

    Wayne.

Probably was new when purchased. Very much in a Queen Anne revival style. Wood looks to be mahogany.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I just Googled Brad's "Queen Anne revival" descriptor and there are lots of examples to look at.

Even better if you add "chairs, table, mahogany"!

    Hi all,

Thanks for replying so far, interesting.

Would it be mahogany veneer then?

Yes just googled it and your right there is a lot!

    British, really?

    Thanks!!

It would probably be veneer on top. There might also be veneer on the front of the chair backs. Most everything else should be solid.

They look typically British to me. Nothing about the set looks Eastern European, but what do I know. The glass top is throwing me. Can you show the top without the glass or can you not remove it?
