I thought these glass slides were so unusual, picked a small box of them up at an estate sale for a few dollars. I found others online, they do not seem to be selling for very much if at all. The only remaining question is what company make made mine so I can officially rule out value. Mine measure approx 7 x 2 1/4 inches They each have a maker's mark in a diamond shape, upper right corner. (Could be a horizontal "B" and a "W"?) Of course hard to look that up as "BW" is often the abbreviation for black and white. See 3rd photo for maker's mark in question. Anyone recognize it? Thanks.

Nice link! Mine are some kind of transfer process, not hand painted.

    Those are just tooooo cool!

...but can you imagine a kid today being intrigued/entertained - or anything else - by something like them?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

We had a couple of boxes of that sort of stuff back in the early 80's from one of Mom's house clean-outs.....nobody knew what they were or how to show them......and nobody wanted them.....:(:(:(:(

Thanks so much for the ID Cluttered! You got it!

I think these are gorgeous, too. The little scenes are so well done. Alas, they don't seem to have much resale value. It would be fun if someone could do a project with them. They would be so interesting in a stained glass piece of art, but I'm not sure they would hold up. The glass is pretty thin. I have a friend who works with glass, maybe I'll ask her. Thanks, all!

If you sell them, be sure to mention one is Easter and the other appears to be Punch and Judy

Lucille, these are fabulous:) I hope you will be surprised if you list them. Are these the only 3 or do you have more?
Cluttered is right, mention Easter/bunnies, Punch & Judy & Christmas/winter for the other one. I wonder though if each one is from a Nursery Rhyme? They would be wonderful display pieces, not to big - I have some tiny easels that I display single postcards on but I imagine one of these would fit and display nicely.

The funny thing is that I only have three that are complete. There are 9 or so in the box, but for some reason in the rush of the estate sale I didn't even look down into the narrow box they came in to look at the others and only noticed many of the bottom ones were missing sections when I got home. I just had never seen similar so I figured it was worth the few dollars, so didn't check. The Easter and the Punch and Judy (thanks for pointing those scenes out, Cluttered!) are complete slides in perfect shape, but the Christmas one is not. I have one other complete one I did not show yet. It is probably worth putting them up on Ebay, esp. with Easter around the corner and the P&J connection, just to see. One thing in their favor is that the transfer on each is very strong. They would be cute displayed on a small easel, I like that idea cxgirl!
