I think you did fine, esp with some damage as you described. Sometimes when a piece is in a nice looking show room, people can imagine it more easily in their homes. Not surprised at the quick sale. You could have tried on Craigslist, but that can be a huge headache with no-shows, etc. and people want things for cheap so this was a good way to go. Congrats.
