This is pretty interesting (Hand-carved Napoleon III antique bibliotheque circa 1870-1880)

    Kasperscuriosities Two hundred years too late.

    Here is another consignment piece I am working on for a client. This client has several pieces but I thought this one was exceptional.

    Per the client it's Hand-carved Napoleon III antique bibliotheque circa 1870-1880, Bordeaux, France.

    It stands 8 feet tall and is absolutely gorgeous. I felt tiny standing next to it. LOL!

    Must have went in a library , what with the globe and books and what not carved into it . Its stunning , but youd have to have a pretty big house to carry it off ! Just my opinion , but Id say the date seems right .

    Isn't it amazing how things like this....can last this long without being damaged in some way !!

    Do the rich, have better movers than ordinary folk....?:confused:
