Welcome. This is a very interesting piece. It seems to be a clamshell shape but decorated with flowers. I'm sorry I don't know anything that will help you but others will.

Welcome popraaqs - your Grandma certainly left you a wonderful item to remember her by. The lack of a mark makes it difficult to attribute it to any specific maker but it does look like clam shell boxes produced in France. The decoration would also be typical of the the French style. It is also rather difficult to provide you with a date of production. I have a book on trinket boxes (Harran) and they show a clam shell box very much like yours and attributed to the Limoges region of France. That box was dated to circa 1860's - 1870's but that shape was produced on and off for over 100 years and may still be in production.

The link below will take you to seller on Etsy with a box very similar to yours. The seller has attributed it to Limoges even though it too is unmarked. You may need to copy and paste the link into your bowser to access it.

The absence of "Made in France" indicate manufacture before 1917 or so. That's when the US mandated all imported goods must be marked in English as to country of manufacture.
