    Found this today & I kept thinking the guy looks familiar?
    Any idea who the subject is? Military? What is he holding?
    Anyone heard of the artist Ballard?
    Any info would be appreciated!

    The painting is absolutely unfamiliar, but the name, Ballard, is not.

    The way one's mind behaves! "Mr. Bal-lard." Winner of the prize for his Mrs. Miniver rose! I still remember how Dame May Whitty gave that second syllable equal emphasis with the first.
