Oh my, that is lovely. Can you imagine that with bulbs blooming in it?

It's a very handsome bowl and I don't know who made it though I've found some that also say Peters Reed but they may just be guessing.

Anyway, I'm thinking it looks more like a dandelion to me. shrug emoji smal purple.jpg

It's too bad that all the pictures on that listing are the same image. pr at least seem to be.

Thanks everyone. I saw several on Worthpoint that were identified as Peters & Reed, but hoped there might be a book reference to confirm. I also first thought dandelion.

Well unfortunately you can find all sorts of things on Worthpoint that contradict each other. Many at least suggest Peters and Reed as a possibility.

I don't have a Peters and Reed book but I did look through my Weller and Roseville books without finding what seemed to me to be an exact match. Roseville seems to have made a panel vase that had a dandelion/thistle pattern. Unfortunately my grasp of art pottery is limited.

This one calls it Peters and Reed and Weller?

This auction believes it Weller Breton. My Weller book has only a few photos of Breton and while it's similar I just don't know.

    This one believes it's Roseville.

Here is a Roseville panel vase.

I couldn't find it in my Peters and Reed book. The Weller Breton is close, but the picture one of the listings quotes has too many differences to convince me.

Thank you for all that, S_I_S. Having it in hand I would say not Weller Breton or Roseville Rosecraft Panel.

Huxford is the old one I have that shows a row of Breton.

I'm not convinced that drg's bowl is by Weller, despite the assertion in the Worthpoint listing. Admittedly I am working with the the Ragos' much more recent Weller book (which mentions by does not illustrate Breton) but looking at all the illustrations of other lines from a similar period, there is no example in any line that has the same profile (or even close) as this bowl. And I think that opinion is reinforced by the illustration SiS posted.

Not Weller or Roseville. I am inclined to agree with the P&R attribution but see how it could be by some other more obscure pottery.
