Restrictions on ivory.

    Mums the word, in calif, many antique stores/auction stores have been "raided" and the antique ivory was confiscated.

    Not dissimilar to the 17th C. puritans wrecking medieval churches or the Taliban destroying the great rock Buddha.

    Well, from where I am sitting, that's what it looks like. Driven by zealotry, not reason.

    I agree. Makes no sense to destroy antique art.
