the only thing I find are clocks by Schatz & Sohne... would anyone know what this is? It hangs on the wall, we think it might have held an oil lamp? The screws that go through at each side might be levelers? It is 11 1/2" high, 6 3/4" wide. sohne.jpg sohne1.jpg sohne2.jpg sohne3.jpg sohne4.jpg sohne5.jpg I am open to any suggestions because I have not found anything like it. Thanks! sohne.jpg

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    What in the WORLD...!?

I, too, found only clocks... some of them were really intricate, complex, HUGE...

Maybe it's a part of, or an accessory to a clock that non-clock-people don't recognize.

Maybe a clock-brainiac will drop by...

Lots of nice photos but I still can't see the top of that brass thing that's flat on top and bowl-shaped on bottom. The
s--tbrindle brown material is what, plastic?

possibly bakelite, I need to test it. Here is that pic, also COULD be upside down, the metal part slides out and can go in either way, just made no sense the other way. sohne6.jpg

Thanks for additional photo. It looks to me like something with four small feet was standing there for years. Maybe what you have is a wall mounting for a very small clock.

Too late to the party to simply tell you it is a bracket for a 1950s-60s Schatz torsion clock. Very rare, I have never seen one in hand, but unlikely to be all that sought after.
