Don’t even know where to start. There was stuff at this sale from every corner of the globe from every point throughout the last 600 years or more. This looks quite new and kind of old at the same time. Leaning heavily towards the quite new side as the condition is just too good. Made with an old method maybe. Seems to be bronze. Interesting brushed finish. Seems to be a mark that looks like a K in an unidentified shape. Maybe something like v_ rather than a K. Looking forward to hearing opinions.

    Edit: 7” high

Brushed finish looks like file marks.

the form reminds me of what they called "Prager Kanne" (Prague pitcher) in the late 18th and 19th century. the typical form was the spout. most came from around Muskau and Freiberg in Saxony.
this is most probably the attempt of some blokes in a shed in India to find new forms for their brass casting industry.

The shape particularly the spout definitely resembles this strongly. The base is a bit different. Thanks for giving me something to go on. This one didn’t have me thinking India but you have a lot more time in the game than I do. The guy had such an interesting collection I was hoping it had a better story. It was a last second grab on the way out the door but it’s had me wondering for a while.
