Help With Info on Fellow CDV

Recently Purchased this fellow!

I've been searching and searching but can't seem to find any info on him!

Can't help, but the guy in that link is "c. 1565 – buried October 6, 1634".

 

There's a George W. Kirbye who was a Ventriloquist, among other things, in the mid 1800's. Might be worth looking into.

I found a PDF document on somebody's website that is a paper about various well-known ventriloquists. It includes some information on George W. Kirbye on pg. 134:

Here is the Find A Grave entry for the George W. Kirby mentioned in the last paragraph. He does not sound like the ventriloquist! So I think a misidentification may have been made.

I painted signs on store windows in high school to make some money. I was quite good, but it was time consuming and painstaking so I gave it up. Paid for all my Beatles albums that way.

 

You mean cartoon type signs?

 

OH, haha. Actually, at Halloween, all the stores let high school kids paint scenes on their windows. First prize was $25. I won all three years that I did it. I also painted names on stores. It's not as easy as you'd think when you have to do 3D lettering from the back.
