If you post a pic of the stein turned so all of the building is visible we might be able to ID the building. The thumbpiece on this stein is a small ball. Large ball thumbpieces were used by Germany, Austria, and Hungary. "Many other counties used a small ball" thumbpiece. Are there any touchmarks on the pewter?

Is that word under the building Kurfaal? I can't find a Kurfaal anything in Germany, Austria, or Hungary. That "f" might represent the letter "s." If so the word would be Kursaal meaning in German a "Cure Hall" something like a spa. There is a Kursaal amusement park in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England that opened in 1901. I doubt it is from or referring to that amusement park unless it was a souvenir from it back when.

Another thought is a souvenir from Baden Baden, Germany. It has hot sulfa springs that were used as a health spa as far back as the Romans. It had and may still have the Kurhaus (Kursaal) building.
