What's the occasion for such joyfulness?

I see the King and Queen, but also the Jester in front. Would the prom have a Jester? The girls outfits have wings.

    I think school play.

    Hi,
It is a school play about Sleeping Beauty. In her birth the angels all came. The old crone is missing (the teacher) since she is the photographer. Her name was Miss Zelda Crabtree.

Looks like the era where no one smiled in photos...

Just a thought - I'm not entirely sure there are any girls in this picture. Maybe a boys school drama program - perhaps "Midsummer Night's Dream"?

    What?
How many boys were taught to cross their ankles like that?

I also see a King, Queen, Fool and Fairies. Definitely a school play and I do think there are both boys and girls in the picture. Why the rest of the boys are in suits instead of costumes, I can't imagine unless it wasn't a Midsummer Night's Dream and they were a choral group. Swan Lake?
