Hello, I hope you can help me to identify small salmon pink glass vase. It's heavy, with polished pontil mark. It's 15.5 cm by 9.5 cm. I am about to give it to my friend and your help is the last chance for me to find out what I am giving away. The vase looks orange on the picture, but it actually salmon pink. I appreciate your expertise very much. WIN_20191101_10_58_02_Pro (2).jpg WIN_20191101_10_58_39_Pro (2).jpg WIN_20191101_10_58_49_Pro (3).jpg WIN_20191101_10_58_17_Pro (2).jpg

These don't have polished pontils, they are molded and even though that depression in the base looks like a ground pontil, it isn't.

It's Durand - French. Seen loads of them, both coloured and clear, boxed and with labels. I know what you mean about being a bit Sklo - same sort of era, although this one's 80s, from memory.

I found it. It's Sklo from Franticek Peceny 50th.

Does it mean the vase is hand blown?

I don't think yours is the Sklo one, unless the colour is REALLY off on the photo.

Anyhow, the Sklo stuff is moulded, not hand blown.

Comparing the bottom of the Sklo to the bottom of the Durand might clarify things. If you can find examples of both. The bottom is a big part of what made me think Sklo.

    *******

This is the bottom treatment I associate with Sklo:

but it's not a sure thing.

Yes, the color is really off. The vase is pink, but looks dirty orange on the pictures. I haven't worked it out how to take good pictures yet.

The suggestion about Sklo and Duran helped a lot. Thank you.

That Ebay one is silly overpriced given it's got damage.

Price on Etsy was even higher, but it didn't matter to me as I wasn't selling it.
