ID religious? or fraternal? insignia on a ring

An old plastic ring. Can anyone ID the insignia?

 

Dove representing the Holy Spirit?

Was there a DC comic with Dove Man?

 

It looks like one of those pseudo NA thunderbirds to me. 1950s/'60s? Gum ball machines?

Gum Ball machine could definitely make sense. It is a small size ring. It fits my pinkie, and I don't have large fingers.
Also, a DC comic ring, or something similar could make sense, as it does have some similarities to a few that I saw in searching, but they all look like a different type of plastic, and designs. And, this one just seems older. Although I think?? Terry was just kidding around with his reply.
And it could have similarities to the holy spirit, and/or Thunderbird.....so I am just confused, but really appreciate the suggestions, LOL!

Forget the religious idea. The dove is never supposed to be seen upright. The passage in the bible says the Holy Spirit DESCENDED like a dove. Appears to be a thunderbird of the south west.

The little plus sign in the middle must've got me thinking Christian symbol. Greg's right -- more likely a "faux" Indian thunderbird (I use Indian instead of Native American, because I think it's from that earlier era.)
