Is this a silverplate mark?

    Its a mark on an old Tea pot. I havent cleaned it yet and I dont see any other marks yet because it is dirty. I am hoping it might be silver plated.

    I second spring's request. Could be, but could also be pewter. There isn't anything about that mark that points to a particular material or country.

    It is not silverplated. I can tell you this after cleaning and inspecting it.
