Assorted oddments of late. This is a nice filigree, probably silver wee bracelet with a strange clasp I've not seen before. Fifty pence.



Two nice rings. One unmarked silver and lapis, the other some kind of blue stonage. Two quid the first, four quid the second.

This is interesting. There's a company called Fish Enterprises who have been making cheap but nice enamel bits since the 80s. But this is actually silver: eight quid.

 

That brooch is GORGEOUS!!

 

That clasp looks very unique. Never seen one either!

 

This really isn't a great find, but due to Halloween coming on soon, thought I would post this cutie I found a while back.

 

I'd be thinking Portuguese on the bracelet and some kind of candy jade on the ring - aka random dyed rock.

 

I've seen push in clasps with a single pin on Turkish and middle Eastern filigree. Portuguese is entirely feasible, but isn't that clasp strange.

It's an oddball to be sure. I'm guessing some "bloke in a shed" didn't have a clasp to hand and got creative.

 

I bought a few friction toys in a grab bag recently and I found this little guy. A press and go cannon. The tag says 1920s as a date. I found an example of one without the driver still mounted on there on another site. They wrote "maybe Marx". You push the lever behind the driver down, release and he scoots across the floor. Such a cool little toy.

 

1920s wouldn't surprise me; that's a WWI gun. The weird part is the clown costume. No real soldier would be caught dead in that, for fear of ending up dead.

Undeterred by fake marks on a possibly real ring (shame!) last weekend, I took my visiting mother-in-law on a romp in a vintage/antique mall. We magpied pill bottles and equipment for her (she works in the medical field) and more jewelry for me. This garnet & pearl gold ring.

Abalone shell bracelet. It’s unmarked but tests positive for silver. When it’s flipped around the other side is whatever this red piece is. Maybe coral?


This crown Trifari necklace with a shell pendant. I have another two similar and I think this one is also the “moonglow” glass.

These silver earrings. They have a bunch of marks on the back to be investigated later.
I’m excited for the earrings as they are meant to accompany this pendant I already owned.

This Art Nouveau tray. Super tarnished, I believe this is silver plate.

More David Andersen sterling enamel leaf pieces this time a bracelet in yellow.

And finally, this small glass cameo. It was sold as “pate de verre”. I’m hoping I find something I can rig this to so I can use it as a pendant.

The earrings looks like they were engraved by a beginner/apprentice,too big of a hurry and sloppy engraving.

 

Maybe? I’m sure time will tell if the marks mean anything or it’s something else someone rigged up to sell at a higher price. They have the same feel as the pendant and that’s principally why I bought them.
