Can Anyone ID the signature on this piece of Murano style Art Glass?

This piece looks strongly like Murano, but with all the copycats, who knows? Anyway, the signature has me stumped.. It measures 8" in diameter and 3 1/2" high. The sig looks like first name "Olaf" maybe, last name I haven't a clue. TIA!

Very little Murano glass is signed, Venini is, but not much else. The shape is a lot like some Murano ashtrays, but the colour, not so much ..although new productions may be different - however, I have no experience with the newer pieces, so can't say for sure.

We do not know if that is the maker or an owner. The empolu region of Italy and China both made this style after WW2

This actually looks Czech to me, Chribska or Skrdlvice (which I can't spell!). I've not seen any attributed to Empoli factories.

I'll check out Czech (lol) and see if that works. Thanks all!

I can spell Czech, it's the surnames that do my head in. ;)

The LOL was for my clever word play, checking Czech, not making fun of your spelling skills.

I looked at the link you left and while there's a bowl similar to mine, I couldn't really say one way or another. While mine is a very pretty bowl, there is no balance between the blue and the red glass. Not that there needs to be, but all of the examples at 20th century are even in the way the colors go. It's that darn signature that has me scratching my head. Maybe the reason I can't read the last name is because the surname is not familiar to me. It's not Smith, Jones, or Carter, something I could figure out. More consonants perhaps. I'll look at it again and see if that might be it.

    Thanks for your help!
