As far as going all out: Charles X hired Cahier to make the liturgical objects for his coronation, also. From what I understand, he was intent on having just as lavish a ceremony as Napoleon I. And yet, as we know from the display in the Reims, the CHURCH objects for that ceremony were all gilded silver (while the objects related to the crown were executed in solid gold).

One more thing to consider, even if you had a chalice that matched drawings exactly, most items are made in some numbers, even if only a few. You would need convincing documentation of the provenance of the piece you have, making that particular piece traceable to the notable event. This is true even if you have the only one known to exist, the "market" will never be convinced it is the one-and-only without the hard documentation.

I saw an exhibit of Napoleon's belongings in a Museum, including the royal robe from the famous painting. Every single item he owned was overdesigned and pumped up within an inch of it's life. As much as you want to think that the etched designs have something in common with Cahier's patterns, I don't see any real relationship between them. Acanthus was popular in many designs at the time as was that border. Given a half hour, I could probably saturate the board with items like it. You really need to bring it to a Museum to be vetted before you go around telling people it was from the coronation. It's too plain and wimpy. Really. Go to any Museum or online and look at coronation items.
