I have no idea what this is!

It measures about 6.75 inches tall and the bell is just under 3” at the widest flare.

It has a fine chain with a pin that fits through two holes in the throat of the bell about 2” up.

No markings. It feels fairly heavy like silverplate on cast metal.

I bought it for $2 at the thrift store because I found the shape interesting and it seems like a conversation piece.

I found a little more information!

My original thought was it was some sort of candle thing but down in the very bottom of the horn I found a little bit of florist’s sponge foam. At that point it clicked and I figured it must be a Victorian style posy holder or tussie-missie/nosegay thing. I’ve never seen one but looked them up and they look just like this. I, too, vacillated between bouquet holder and candle snuffer, but the over 6" size led me to think hand carried flower vase. ;) Thanks all! :joyful:

Well the fact that there is no signs of candle extinguishing like black marks could be a clue too.
