Need help identifying where these were made and roughly how old please.
    Possibly Venetian due to the water? They are about 5 inches x 5 inches and 5 mm thick.Thankyou image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Thankyou Gila. I look in everyday to see all the new treasures. Lots of knowledgeable people here and it's nice to see the American items, here in the UK we don't get to see some sorts of antiques.

Welcome from me too! And thank you for giving a name to what is MY condition as well. I have only just learned that one has to click the car key widget twice to open the back door!

Or, if you're my husband, you keep clicking it once over and over and nothing happens while your wife is freezing her tush off.

I think they are polychrome Delft tiles.

Agree with Delft. I would think late 19th or early 20th century. Maybe even up to WWII. Hard to pin down age since similar have been made for a very long time.

Here is one on ebay listed as circa 1800. I think they are way optimistic on this date. I think the quality very similar to yours and possibly 19th century but I doubt that early.

Thank you verybrad. The eBay tile does indeed look very similar in the colours used and the border design. Bought them for £1 each from the charity shop so I think I got a good buy.
    Many thanks

Not Delft, imo, but Hispanic. Probably Spanish. I'd have grabbed them for a quid.
